Educator and Church Resource Page

01

Wonder Letters exists to equip churches and families to talk to kids about unreached people groups. We are proud to be a part of Sunday School programs across the United States, a highlight of homeschool programs, and a part of family devotions at the dinner table.

WONDER LETTERS
LOVES EDUCATORS!

Wonder Letters is an excellent tool for educators who want to provide their students with a comprehensive learning experience. Wonder Letters includes geography, botany, philosophy, and zoology when possible. Wonder Letters is a unique educational supplement that engages students and encourages them to explore the world around them. If you're looking for a way to enhance your students' learning experience, we have the perfect subscription for you! Here's some ideas: 1. Open and read the letter as a class. If you want to prepare supplemental coloring pages, a map, etc., ahead of time, go ahead! 2. Ask good questions! What animals or plants were mentioned inside? What do we know about those? Have you heard about this people group before? 3. Find the people group on the globe. Sometimes security allows us to name specific places and sometimes wisdom requires we use a general area. 4. Each Wonder Letter includes a Talking and Prayer Points page. If your institution allows prayer, go right ahead! However, Wonder Letters also works well for teachers in secular institutions, as each people groups' beliefs and way of life is written about in a respectful manner. The Talking Points have more great questions for kids to ponder such as, "What is different or the same about your life and ______'s life?" 5. Feel free to display the contents of Wonder Letters in your classroom following its arrival and enjoyment.

WONDER LETTERS
LOVES SUNDAY SCHOOL!

Wonder Letters offers Sunday school teachers a day off! You'll still have a class of bubbling children, but your monthly issue of Wonder Letters does all the prep work for leading the children in your care through a monthly Global Sunday. Here's how. 1. Plan Global Sunday for the third Sunday of the month. When your Wonder Letter arrives in the mail, you can either tuck it away for that third Sunday, or take a look and plan your bulletin board with it. Tack up a map of the area of the world and let the kids guess where the people group lives. The lead-up possibilities on your end are endless, or simply, take a breath and do nothing at all. 2. On Global Sunday, start with a song with a focus on God's people or his heart for the nations. 3. Open the letter. Perhaps ahead of time you took a photo of each page and have it projected on the board. This is a great way for churches with multiple Sunday schools and limited budget to use one letter. 4. Display the map while you read the letter. Each map has a key and hidden small coordinating numbers for children to find. Find each item in the letter together. 5. Talking Points and Prayer Points are included in each Wonder Letter. Talking Points are simple questions to get kids thinking outside of their world. 5. Pray. More specifically, ask the kids to pray. God knows by name every child living in the people group. Chances are, there is one by the name we used. I never cease to be amazed at the faith in children's prayers. 6. Finally, put the contents of Wonder Letters on display in a public area of the church, for everyone to enjoy, like a Missions focused bulletin board. You can even send home copies of the Talking and Prayer Points page with parents.
